Blooming - Daily Photolog #34 for 3/31/2011- Central Valley Photographer (Stockton, Tracy, Manteca, Lathrop, Modesto, Sacramento)

On Thursday, 3/31, I had plans on walking and photographing buildings. I hadn't gone far when flowers caught my eye. I saw the same bloom in white, yellow, pink, orange and a reddish color. They were gorgeous and just like that buildings were out and flowers were in...I find that I am really enjoying photographing flowers and nature :)

Wednesday 3/30 was set aside for the statutes outside of the Sacramento Community Theater. The photo for the day is of Poseidon in the buff, I like to call it Shrinkage ;)

JRho and I took a walk to the Citizen Hotel in Sacramento to have a looksie...we loved it! All of the images from Tuesday 3/29 are from there. The photo of the day is of the bar in the second floor lounge.

I had a hard time choosing the photo for Monday, 3/28 so I settled on two :) I usually end up with way more than I have time to post and probably space for so the really "rejected" ones stay hidden on my hard drive or end up as a part of my Flikr Photostream. Monday's photos came from a walk to Capitol Park in Sacramento.

I do believe that cake just might be the death of me one day :) I baked an orange pound cake for today's dessert. The family loved it and I enjoyed taking photographs before devouring it!

Today's photo is of my babies who helped me to try and get my lighting right for today's photo shoot. They were great light meters :)


They are the most patient children ever (at least with me they are) and super cute to boot :)

A long week rainy work week ended on Friday which included a walk in a direction I don't normally go. The daily photo was taken at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. Just outside the doors was this beautiful ceiling (many thanks to Jhro for the walk:)



Other pictures from the walk include the picture wall from the AT&T building which shows pictures from the early days of the telephone, a really cool bike rack and a red door.

I had a whole set of images of the state capitol and downtown Sacramento for yesterday and they all got shelved in favor of these reflections that I saw on my way home (one of the few good things about constant rain).
